Class arrangements during Typhoons and Rainstorms

NB Our office hours are 9am to 9.45pm

Typhoon Signal No. 8

• If the Typhoon Signal No. 8 is hoisted before 9 a.m. HKEnglish will remain temporarily closed.

• If the Signal No. 8 is lowered before 12.00 p.m. (noon), we will open at 2.30 p.m.

• If the signal is lowered after 2.30 p.m., HKEnglish will remain closed for the rest of the day.

• If the Pre-Typhoon Number 8 Special Announcement is given or if the Typhoon Signal No. 8 is hoisted during office hours, then HKEnglish will close immediately and all classes shall be suspended. (This is to allow our clients and staff to get home safely 2 hours before the actual No. 8 signal is raised and ferry/transport services are stopped).

Black Rainstorm Warning

• If the Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted before 9.00 a.m., HKEnglish will remain temporarily closed.

• If the warning is lowered before 12.00 p.m. (noon), we will open at 2.30 p.m.

• If the warning is lowered after 2.30 p.m., HKEnglish will remain closed for the rest of the day.

• If the Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted during office hours, classes will continue until the end of the current session and then HKEnglish close for the rest of the day.

Please note: In severe weather conditions, irrespective of the Typhoon or Storm warning signal, we reserve the right to close our office and postpone classes to protect our client's and staff’s safety.

We will always endevour to contact all our clients by telephone to advise them personally about lesson arrangements.
